The Fire Remains is an organization of Catholic men in the second half of life who refuse to coast.
We exist for one purpose: to help our members become saints in the second half of life.
Not someday. Not eventually. Now — in the years the world calls “winding down” and the Church has always called the most concentrated heat of the whole fire.
This is not a program you pass through. It is a permanent membership you walk into and never leave.
How It Is Built
Three movements shape the work: Fire. Friendship. Finish. The interior life. The bonds worth keeping. The third-act vocation and the holy death.
Your Table
Eight to ten men, permanently assigned. You will know each other for years. Real friends. Strong men. Serious men. The kind of men who walk with you for the rest of your life.
The Watch
A weekly seventy-five-minute meeting, run on a disciplined protocol that distinguishes us from every other men's small group: experience, not advice. Honesty, not performance.
The Seven Pillars
Our formation framework — Fire, Foundation, Diligence, Hearth, Vigil, Mission, Endurance. Each Pillar is anchored by a patron saint and names a specific work for a man in the second half.
Quarterly Chapter Gatherings
Each chapter gathers in person quarterly. Half a day of formation plus dinner. Local depth, beyond the screen. Our first physical chapter is forming in Texas.
September Embers
Our annual in-person gathering in San Antonio, beginning September 2027. Three days. The full membership in the same place, once a year.
The Field Guide
The operational manual every member receives. Latin where Latin earns its place: Custos, quid de nocte? — Watchman, what of the night?
